Over the past year, 48% of individuals with disabilities have not entered a dental office or had a dental check-up.

One of the primary reasons for this is that traditional dental offices are not equipped to provide services to individuals with physical, mental, or developmental disabilities. As a result, caregivers are often unable to locate a suitable alternative.

Finding dental care for our son Griffin has always been a challenge. Griffin was a 26 week old preemie who has multiple disabilities including developmental delays and oral aversions. When he was younger we found a pediatric dentist who had privileges at Primary Children's Hospital.He did the best he could to do exams on Griffin,but getting him to hold still for x-rays was impossible. When he found a cavity, we checked Griffin in for dental care under anesthesia at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. When Griffin aged out of pediatric care, we were so concerned about what we would do. Then, we found Dr Marberger. Dr Marberger has Griffin come to a surgical center in Murray once a year for his cleaning, check, x-rays and any fillings that are needed while he is under anesthesia. Dr Marberger has been so great to work with Griffin. Thanks to Dr Marberger and his team at Family Surgical we know that our son's teeth are healthy and his dental care is painless and without trauma.
